Digital devices have been used by the learners to gain more knowledge for positive and desired outcomes. Hence, these devices can enhance the quality of teaching as well as learning strategies. To complete this study, four objectives and five research questions were developed. The present investigative research study was limited to only the secondary school students in urban and rural areas. Due to financial and time considerations, the study was delimited to only two Tehsils (D. G. Khan and Taunsa) and selected from the three Tehsils of Dera Ghazi Khan District. The population consisted of students from 75066 secondary schools. The convenience sample size was consisted of 384 students from rural and urban secondary schools of two Tehsils of Dera Ghazi Khan District. The data was collected from participants through questionnaires. A research Questionnaire was developed with the help of an extensive review of related literature, suggestions from the supervisor, and precious viewpoints of experts. The reliability of the instrument was analysed and the value of Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient was found 0.81. Quantitative data was analyzed with the help of SPSS (statistical package for social sciences) V 20 and MS Excel software. Mean, Standard deviation, percentage, Pearson Correlation, and simple t-test were applied for data analysis. It was concluded that the secondary school student's study habits and academic performance were also average regarding their knowledge about digital devices and their use respectively. It was concluded that the students from urban areas were more efficient than the rural students and the need for digital devices enhanced their academic performances at the secondary school level. It was concluded that academic performance and study habits had positive relationships among all the participants’ responses. The majority of the students agreed to change their study habits with the use of digital devices. It is recommended that Digital devices and their technical usage should be an entitled standard for secondary schools. Administrators and staff should be present at regular professional training for improvement sessions and motivate the learning approach for the classroom practices as student-centred. In this manner, our society will change positively and students may learn and modify their study habits with digital devices.
